Rosacea

Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that causes redness and small visible blood vessels on the face, as well as pimple-like bumps. The exact cause of rosacea is not known, but it is believed to be related to a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Triggers for rosacea can include sun exposure, stress, alcohol consumption, and hot or spicy foods.

Rosacea is more common in those over the age of 30. There is currently no cure for rosacea, but there are various treatments available to manage its symptoms, including topicals, oral medications, and laser therapy. A dermatologist can develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs and can also help you identify and avoid triggers that may worsen your symptoms.
